Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 2026

Desi Wardrobe Clean Out LLC (“DWCO”) is committed to ensuring that desiwardrobe.com is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe the web should be usable by all, and we are continually working to improve the accessibility and usability of our Platform.

1. Our Commitment

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We design, build, and test our Platform with the goal of providing an inclusive experience for shoppers, sellers, and visitors using a wide range of devices, browsers, and assistive technologies.

2. Conformance Standard

DWCO aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in current enforcement actions and by the California Unruh Civil Rights Act as amended by AB 1757 (2024).

We also test against newer WCAG 2.2 success criteria where practical and continually update our Platform as the guidelines and our codebase evolve.

3. Accessibility Measures We Take

Measures we take to support accessibility across DWCO include:

  • Semantic HTML landmarks (main, nav, header, footer) on every page, with a “Skip to content” link for keyboard users.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative imagery is hidden from assistive technology.
  • Keyboard navigation for every interactive control, with visible focus indicators that meet contrast requirements.
  • Forms built with associated labels, autocomplete attributes, and programmatically announced error messages linked to the field in error.
  • ARIA roles and attributes on custom widgets (modals, tabs, carousels, accordions, dropdown menus) to communicate state and purpose to screen readers.
  • Color contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and user-interface components.
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion user preference, including auto-pausing carousels and disabling non-essential animation.
  • A pause control on any auto-advancing content, consistent with WCAG 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide).
  • Focus management in modal dialogs, including focus trapping, initial focus placement, and return of focus to the triggering element on close.

4. Assistive Technology Compatibility

DWCO is designed to be compatible with recent versions of the following screen readers and browser combinations:

  • VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack with Chrome on Android
  • NVDA with Firefox or Chrome on Windows
  • JAWS with Chrome or Edge on Windows

The Platform should also work with keyboard-only navigation, voice-control software, and browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

5. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content and functionality may not yet meet our accessibility target. Known limitations include:

  • Seller-uploaded content: Product photographs and descriptions are authored by individual sellers. While we provide guidance and structured fields, we cannot guarantee that every listing includes fully descriptive text.
  • Third-party integrations: Certain third-party services we rely on (for example, payment processing and embedded media) are delivered by external providers whose accessibility we do not control. We select vendors who demonstrate a commitment to accessibility where possible.
  • Legacy content: A small number of older marketing or help articles may not yet conform to our current standard. These are being reviewed and updated as part of our ongoing work.

6. Feedback and Reporting Accessibility Barriers

We welcome your feedback. If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from using any part of DWCO, or if you have suggestions for how we can improve, please let us know. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five (5) business days.
